Travel arrangements

Heidelberg, the romantic city has a famous castle and old town ( Heidelberg-Website).
The closest airports are Frankfurt/M, Stuttgart and Hahn , each about one hour’s ride time away from Heidelberg.

Our carrier will pick you up at the airport (meeting-point) and directly drive you to your preferred hotel

in Heidelberg.

If you arrive at Frankfurt-Airport you also can take the bus-shuttle provided by Lufthansa starting at Level 1 (arrival) from terminal B and ride directly to the Crowne-Plaza Hotel in Heidelberg. From Frankfurt Airport there is also a train connection directly to Heidelberg main station or via Mannheim. If you arrive in Heidelberg until 2 pm you get an appointment on the same day in our practice in Römerstr. 7, which is situated in the near of the hotels and of main station.

Prof. Sieg will inform you about the course of the examinations and about possible adverse effects and you will have to sign an informed consent declaration. If possible, bring your laboratory values with you. A brief evaluation of your clinical status will be performed. Those who are scheduled for colonoscopy will receive a lavage solution.

At the following day the examinations will be performed. During the procedure you will sleep. After the examination(s) you will recover within a few minutes from sedation and the endoscopist will discuss the results with you. You will also receive a letter written in English. If a polyp was taken out by snare polypectomy, you will be contacted at the following day.

Please feel free to stay a few days longer and visit Heidelberg and Southwest Germany.
